    POSTURE RELAXATION TRAINING

    • PRT can be beneficial for puppies and dogs exhibiting a variety of adjustment problems, related to stress and lack of handling and containing. It is important for vet/grooming/boarding visits that your dog accepts being physically handled and moved about.  PRT can help improve this.

    • Any physical punishment resorts in the dog loosing trust and relaxing with you. The idea of PRT is to gradually counter condition a dogs tense, challenging unsettled behaviour, with more relaxation and trust, resulting in a calmer dog.

    GROUNDWORK EXERCISES

We can use ground work obstacles, which can be anything from textures to walk over… to things to move over, around and under, to help develop a dogs awareness, confidence and willingness to focus and listen and to wait for our signals.

It will also make them more agile, supple and balanced and not afraid to walk of strange things on the floor in the future.

All dogs love agility exercises - groundwork is similar, but it will be balanced, controlled and a lot slower to help them build up their confidence.
